One-to-One Tuition 30 Minute Session

Cancellation Policy

Helen Westwood Maths will provide progressive, targeted and engaging tutoring sessions with the aim to motivate and educate students towards their desired goals while providing them with the skills and confidence to progress with their learning. The fees are based on a standard rate which will be advised prior to booking. No further charges will be made for the tutor’s preparation time or resources, which are included in the standard rate. Any increase in fees will be advised with reasonable notice and will only be applied annually. All payments should be by bank transfer please – I will provide bank details to enable you to set me as a regular payee so all payments can be made at least 48 hours prior to the session to confirm the booking. Unfortunately unless payment has been received, sessions will not be able to be delivered. The lesson schedule, frequency and duration will be agreed prior to sessions starting. The date or time of the lessons can be changed with prior agreement between the Tutor and Parents although this may not always be possible. Lessons during the holidays are by arrangement, with booking via the Online Booking page of this website. The standard lesson time for one-to-one sessions is 30 or 50 minutes (which will include time to discuss and update parents regarding progress if required). For younger children, shorter sessions of 30 minutes may be available. Group sessions are 45 minutes for Key Stage 3 students and 1 hour 15 minutes for GCSE Maths revision sessions (both Foundation and Higher GCSE Maths). The online sessions will be accessible using the Zoom Meeting ID and password that will be confirmed to you before the first session. This link will stay the same for your child for each session. All Zoom calls can only be entered through the Waiting Room and all sessions are locked once the session has begun, for security purposes. Sessions will start at the agreed time and it is the parent’s responsibility to make sure they have set reminders and the child is ready for the lesson at the set time.
